Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
After substantial weight loss, weight gain, or the effects of aging, skin on the upper arm loses elasticity, making it feel loose and flabby even when you work out regularly. Also known as brachioplasty, arm lift procedures remove that excess skin and fat. Patients with significant amounts of fat may consider combining the procedure with Liposuction, so we recommend a personal consultation to choose the best option for your goals. A thigh lift is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper legs, much like an arm lift. Candidates typically suffer from loose, inelastic skin after weight loss due to diet, exercise, or bariatric surgery. In a medial thigh lift (inner thigh lift), the surgical incision is made in the inner thigh along the line where the leg meets the groin. In a lateral thigh lift (outer thigh lift), the incision is made from the groin around the back of the body, so the buttock are lifted along with the thigh.
Because significant weight loss like this can affect the entire body, our team commonly performs this surgery along with a combination of procedures, including arm lifts, breast lifts, and/or tummy tucks, to maintain a healthy and attractive body proportion.
Fat grafting, also known as autologous fat transfer or liposculpture, is a surgical procedure that involves restoring lost volume and plumpness in the face using the patient’s own fat, which is taken from the abdomen, thighs, or other areas. This procedure is effective in treating sunken cheeks, facial lines, acne scars, and other areas of lost volume that have developed as a result of aging, sun damage, or illness.
Unlike artificial fillers, fat grafts are taken from the patient’s own body, so they don’t cause an allergic reaction. Natural fat grafts also last longer than synthetic materials.
Buttock augmentation (a type of gluteoplasty) is performed to enlarge and/or reshape the buttock. Our patients seeking augmentation are typically unhappy with the lack of fullness, roundness, or even shape.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure performed on the labia major or minor (the outer or inner lips of the vagina). It’s used for cosmetic, hygienic, pain relief, or functional reasons to reduce the size of labia that are too large, and to reshape labia that are uneven. A relatively minor surgical procedure, labiaplasty can be performed alone or simultaneously with other surgeries.
With any type of cosmetic body contouring procedure, you should design a personalized plan with an experienced doctor and keep realistic expectations about the results surgery can provide.
